Who We Are

The Lost Companion is a feral cat management 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in central Wisconsin. We are dedicated to working with the public to reduce number of colonies of free-roaming stray cats, barn cats and feral (wild) cats in the Waushara County through Trap-Neuter-Return, or TNR.

The Lost Companion was founded in 2006 by Deb Schulz and Kenlyn Kemps. A need was identified to help feral cat populations in the village of Wild Rose, Wisconsin. To help these cats, a nonprofit organization was setup using the guidelines of Alley Cat Allies; an organization which has advocated for non-lethal methods to reduce outdoor cat populations for over a decade.

It is our mission to manage the health, population, and quality of life for feral cats in Waushara County. Please note that we cannot accept pets from the public.

The Lost Companion envisions the time when the public is educated and aware of the value of wild outdoor cat populations and of the non-lethal method of TNR.
